DeLille Cellars Winemaker Dinner Raises Money for Seattle Children’s Hospital
We host many winemaker dinners at DeLille, however this one was magical and memorable as we partnered with El Gaucho restaurant to raise money for Seattle Children’s Hospital as part of the Auction of Washingoton Wines.
As our 46 guests arrived they were greeted by DeLille Cellars hosts (Stacy & Greg Lill, Chris & Thea Upchurch, and Jay Soloff & Catherine Hay) along with El Gaucho owners Chad & Jenny MacKay and served DeLille Cellars 2010 Doyenne Roussanne or 2008 DeLille Harrision Hill Cabernet. As it was a beautiful clear and sunny evening, our guests mingled and wondered around the European gardens and ponds that envelop the property.
Dinner time! We all sat around one 40 foot long table bestowing an intimate feel while being served delectible fare by Chef Steve Cain and his staff, and wine by a team of Sommeliers from Daniel’s Broiler led by Eric Seagelbaum. The guests were raving about the food and wine while conversing, laughing and creating memories. There was a lot of buzz about the main course of Certified Angus Beef Filet Mignon and the DeLille Cellars 2007 Grand Ciel Cabernet Sauvignon. Notable guests included Seahawk/Sounders President Peter McLaughlin and his lovely wife Kelly. KING 5 CEO Ray Heacox and his wife Cynthia Huffman, Seattle Magazine’s John Spear, and Seattle Children’s Carly Young who addressed the crowd on behalf of the hospital. It was a Super night and all in the name of charity! What a way to spend a lovely Seattle Summer evening. Cheers!
