The PONCHO International Wine Auction for the Arts is proud to celebrate its 21st Anniversary on May 11, 2012. The event will feature a fantastic array of big bottles, unique and rare selections, verticals and special collections from the Northwest and around the world. Honorary Vintner, Jean-Guillaume Prats of Chateau Cos d’Estournel, will be in attendance and will be pouring his fabulous wines. This event will showcase incredible finds for wine collectors and once-in-a-lifetime exclusive experiences for wine lovers and world travelers—the amazing bidding opportunities are endless- come obtain yours!
PONCHO’s mission statement is “Because the arts can’t flourish on imagination alone.” Following this powerful statement, PONCHO strives to enrich the quality of life in our region through increasing resources and community support for the arts and arts education programs. Beginning in the hearts of a view visionaries who understood that art can create a great community, PONCHO has since supported over 200 arts organizations by raising over $35 million in support of the arts in the past 48 years.
The key to its success has been an all-volunteer board of people who love the arts and are willing to do the hard work necessary to raise the money. PONCHO has been instrumental in helping to create the venues and the performances that have earned Seattle the reputation of a community that fosters world-class art in all its forms.
