Luxe Barkitecture: You’re In the Dog House!
Last Thursday, the much anticipated Luxe Barkitecture event at the Seattle Design Center was a fetching good time! Debbie Steiner, Editor of Luxe Magazine planned and organized this amazing, successful event. Luxe Interiors & Design and the Seattle Design Center celebrated each of the ten unique and beautifully designed dog houses. Each was constructed by Seattle’s best architects, builders, interior designers, and landscape professionals then auctioned off by Seattle’s top real estate brokers. Proceeds from each house went to the Seattle Children’s Play Garden and the Seattle/King County Humane Society.
Many guests (and their owners) came dressed up and ready to take part in the Parade of Dogs Costume Show! From togas to lady bugs to kimono style gowns, these pooches were ready to walk the runway. As for the rest of the event, hundreds of people made it out to support the creativity brought on by the ten incredible teams. Some groups constructed houses with a very modern and contemporary feel, while others featured waterfalls or a touch of fantasy. Many of the houses were auctioned off during the event, but others are still available for bidding at the Real Logics/Sotheby’s website. You can also watch a video of the event by visiting their page.
