Whistler Art Walk
Summer is about fun, adventures, and relaxing outings for all friends and family to enjoy. While Seattle has numerous events taking place this summer, there are also great events taking place in the surrounding areas. Taking a mini road trip to Whistler for the 2012 art walk is a sure-fire way to enhance your summer experiences. This two month walking tour features over 40 participating venues and 50 artists, all ready to showcase an array of art including: paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, textiles, sculptures, and so much more! The event is being sponsored by TD and the Whistler Real Estate company limited and features activities such as pie eating contests and face painting, which is sure to make the kids happy.
The Whistler Art Walk runs June 20th-August 31st, with many key events taking place in between those date. Labeled Whistler Art Walk’s ‘biggest party,’ The Function Junction Block Party is coming up soon on Thursday, July 26th from 6:30pm-9pm. This event features live and interactive artwork with the main stage featuring performances by: Jon Burr, Ivan The Terrible, Rapido and Where’s Taran.
