Alaska Airlines presents: Seafair Torchlight Parade
Seafair is in full swing with one of the biggest events of the year taking place Saturday, July 28th spanning from Seattle Center to Downtown Seattle along 4th Avenue. The Seafair Torchlight Parade, sponsored by Alaska Airlines, is now in its’ 63rd year and offers entertainment for people of all ages. The parade spans two and a half miles and features an array of floats, banners, balloons, drill teams, and much more! While the parade starts at 7:30 PM, many people will be up bright and early to stake a curbside spot on Saturday morning. To avoid the wait, you can purchase tickets ranging between $20 and $50.

The day of schedule for the Seafiar Torchlight Parade begins at 2 PM with the Seafair Torchlight Spectacular, which is located and sponsored by Seattle Center and features Disney proteges, Coco Jones and Jack Skuller. Following the Torchlight Spectacular is the Michelob ULTRA Torchlight Run, starting at 6:30 PM at Seattle Center South. Then, the Scholarship Program for Women Coronation takes place at the beginning of the parade at 7:30 PM. Considered one of Seattle’s most honored tradition, Seafair will award a record $20,000 in scholarships, recognizing outstanding young women in our community in 2012.
