Light The Night Walk
On September 29th, the annual “Light The Night Walk” will take place in Green Lake Park next to the Green Lake Community Center. The Light The Night Walk event symbolizes communities across the country including teams of families, friends, co-workers and local and national corporations coming together to walk and provide help and support to those battling blood cancer. The fundraising from this event will go toward lifesaving blood cancer research, free educational material and events for patients and their families, local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection, a peer to peer Counseling program and personalized assistance from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Light The Night Walk events are evenings filled with inspiration. During this leisurely walk, walkers carry illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer – thousands of walkers – men, women and children – form a community of caring, bringing light to the dark world of cancer.
